چکیده
Abstract The molecular pathogenesis of colorectal cancer (CRC) has been widely investigated in recent years. Accumulating evidence indicated that microRNA (miRNA) dysregulation participates the processes driving CRC initiation and progression. Aberrant expression miR-1301 found various tumor types. However, its role remains to be elucidated. In present study, we identified was enriched normal tissues significantly down-regulated CRC. Decreased level strongly correlated with aggressive pathological characteristics, including advanced stage metastasis. Bioinformatics dual luciferase assay demonstrated STAT3 is a direct target miR-1301. Gain loss-of-function assays showed had no effect on cell proliferation. Overexpression suppressed migration invasion capacity pSTAT3-positive LoVo cells, but not pSTAT3-negative SW480 while inhibition consistently promoted both lines. Additionally, restored STAT3-knockdown cells. MiR-1301 functioned as suppressor modulate IL6/STAT3 signaling pathway. summary, this study highlights significant miR-1301/STAT3 axis

miR-500a-3p promotes cancer stem cells properties via STAT3 pathway in human hepatocellular carcinoma
BACKGROUND miR-500a-3p has been demonstrated to be involved in the development, progression and metastasis in several human cancers. Constitutive activation of JAK/STAT3 signaling pathway has been reported to play an important role in the development and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).The purpose of this study was to determine the biological roles and clinical significance of miR...
متن کاملmiR-27a-3p targeting RXRα promotes colorectal cancer progression by activating Wnt/β-catenin pathway
This study aimed to elucidate how miR-27a-3p modulates the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to promote colorectal cancer (CRC) progression. Our results showed that the expression of miR-27a-3p was up-regulated in CRC and closely associated with histological differentiation, clinical stage, distant metastasis and CRC patients' survival. miR-27a-3p mimic suppressed apoptosis and promoted prolifera...
متن کاملLncRNA CHRF-induced miR-489 loss promotes metastasis of colorectal cancer via TWIST1/EMT signaling pathway
microRNA-489 (miR-489) is a novel cancer-related miRNAs and functions as a tumor suppressor in human cancers. While, the clinical significance of miR-489 and its role in colorectal cancer (CRC) remain rarely known. Here, we found that the levels of miR-489 in CRC tissues were significantly lower than those in matched tumor-adjacent tissues. Furthermore, decreased levels of miR-489 also observed...
متن کاملMiR-590-3p promotes proliferation and metastasis of colorectal cancer via Hippo pathway
Studies reported that miR-590-3p was involved in human cancer progression. However, its roles of oncogene or anti-oncogene in malignancies still remain elusive. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of miR-590-3p on the cell proliferation and metastasis via Hippo pathway in colorectal cancer (CRC). In our study, miR-590-3p was demonstrated highly expressed in CRC tissues, compared with...
متن کاملmiR-181a-5p promotes the progression of gastric cancer via RASSF6-mediated MAPK signalling activation.
We previously discovered that Ras association domain family member 6 (RASSF6) was downregulated and predicted poor prognosis in GC patients. However, the mechanisms of the down regulation of RASSF6 in GC remained unclear. Increasing evidence indicates that dysregulation of microRNAs promotes the progression of cancer through the repression of tumour suppressors. Here, we identified miR-181a-5p ...
